Economic

Economics is the social science that studies the production, distribution (分配), and consumption (消耗) of goods and services.

A definition that captures (獲得) much of modern economics is that of Lionel Robbins in a 1932 essay: "the science which studies human behaviour as a relationship between ends and scarce (缺乏的) means which have alternative (二擇一) uses.

Economics aims to explain how economies work and how economic agents interact (互相影響). Economic analysis (分析) is applied (實用的) throughout society, in business, finance and government, but also in crime, education, the family, health, law, politics, religion, social institutions (習俗), war, and science. The expanding (擴大中的) domain (範圍) of economics in the social sciences has been described as economic imperialism (帝國主義).
